All performance testing experts will agree that ideal performance testing is when the same transaction mix,
load and data that is applied to the production system is used within the performance test.
However, it is often very difficult for organisations to understand the exact usage of their applications,
the click paths and functionality exercised by user communities, the concurrency of these at peak times and the data supplied by the users.
Our Load Analysis service, based upon our LoadMonitor™ software, allows our clients to understand exactly what usage is being placed upon a client’s
application in their production system.
LoadMonitor™ is installed in a client's production environment and will intercept - with a negligible overhead - and record every request made upon an application;
this includes the request, the user who made the request (allowing user click paths to be understood) and the data supplied with the request.
All this information is recorded into the LoadMonitor™ database; the simple and easy to navigate schema of this database is supplied to the client in order
that they can perform further analysis of application usage after the engagement is complete.
The Load Analysis engagement report provides clients with details based upon empirical data of the usage of their application, the load of each transaction type,
the data supplied with requests and the click paths the users are taking through the system.
With this information, clients can perform correct and realistic performance and functional testing of their applications, either themselves with their own performance testing tools,
by using StressTester™ or by utilising one of
our performance testing services.
